Supports SG&A finance for OptumRx PBM Operations by performing expense analysis, quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, cost management, and close activities. Partners with finance and operations leaders to identify expense drivers, explain performance trends, improve efficiency, and support informed decisions. Requires corporate finance or FP&A experience, strong Excel modeling skills, and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly.

Analyzes and documents finance and accounting business processes, requirements, use cases, and system gaps for new technical solutions. Conducts fact-finding with business leaders and process owners, identifies improvement opportunities, communicates recommendations, and evaluates financial and operational impacts. Supports project artifacts, system migrations, and process efficiency initiatives while managing competing priorities and delivery timelines.

Leads accounting and financial reporting for Medicare Advantage and affiliated medical groups. Oversees monthly close, GAAP and NAIC statutory accounting, NAIC and Texas Department of Insurance reporting, audits, tax matters, budgets, CMS bid schedules, internal controls, and accounting policies. Manages and develops staff, advises leadership on financial and tax implications, resolves accounting issues, and supports strategic growth initiatives.

Supports Optum Rx’s $425M capital portfolio through capital planning, governance, business case modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, performance reporting, and investment decision support. Partners with business leaders, Finance, and enterprise governance teams to improve capital efficiency, reporting transparency, process effectiveness, and financial outcomes.

Manages Medicare Advantage payment integrity and affordability strategy, including business planning, financial reporting, analytics, ROI evaluation, program implementation, governance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. Partners with finance, healthcare economics, clinical, network, compliance, and payment integrity stakeholders to meet affordability targets, oversee more than $100 million in annual program spend, develop executive reporting, and improve consumer and provider outcomes.

Performs financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and performance management for pharmaceutical rebate programs. Analyzes contract trends, risks, variances, and optimization opportunities; partners with finance and business stakeholders to address underperformance; develops corrective action plans and profitability strategies; and provides insights for leadership decision-making.
