Design and run financial and network pricing models to evaluate provider contracts and unit costs. Support negotiations, set unit cost targets, produce analytical reports, and advise cross-functional teams to reduce total cost of care.

Lead and develop an actuarial and regulatory team focused on pricing and underwriting assumption setting, trend forecasting, governance, model modernization, and regulatory impact analysis. Partner with Product, Technology, Finance, Underwriting, and Industry Relations to influence strategy, chair forecasting governance, communicate performance, and drive model innovation and cross-functional alignment.

Manage B2B collections and accounts receivable tasks: collect past-due invoices, resolve disputes and credit balances, reconcile payments, produce aging reports, meet collection metrics, collaborate with internal partners, and use reporting tools to reduce past-due aging.

Evaluate large-group new business and renewals by analyzing claims, enrollment, demographics, plan design, and utilization. Develop pricing recommendations, support RFPs and renewals, collaborate with Sales, Actuarial, Finance and Product, negotiate terms, monitor timelines, and serve as a technical underwriting subject matter expert and mentor to ensure consistent, profitable underwriting decisions.

Support financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and decision support for Optum Health. Build standardized reports and dashboards, analyze pricing, contracts, and performance, track remediation initiatives, automate reporting, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to inform senior leadership and improve margin performance.

Support and execute internal audits across financial, operational, and information systems areas. Assist with audit planning, control testing (including SOX), prepare workpapers, identify issues and root causes, recommend corrective actions, follow up on action plans, and participate in special audit projects.

Lead pharmacy underwriting pricing strategies across retail, mail, specialty and rebate structures; support RFPs and renewals; coordinate with accounts, PBM (OptumRx), actuarial, finance and legal; present financial recommendations, participate in negotiations, maintain underwriting guidance and training, mentor colleagues, and track pricing initiatives to drive margin growth.

Support execution of internal audits and risk management activities including audit planning, control testing (financial and operational), preparing workpapers, identifying issues with root cause analysis and corrective recommendations, following up on action plans, and participating in special projects.

Provide project accounting support for government contracts: set up projects in ERP, track costs, manage billing and revenue recognition, ensure FAR/DFARS/CAS/DCAA compliance, support audits, and recommend process improvements and training.
