Assess financial, credit, fraud, identity, brand, compliance, and reputational risks for new and existing merchants. Review business credit reports, financial documents, payment processor statements, investigative research, and market data to determine merchant credit exposure. Monitor credit, fraud, and chargeback trends, investigate third-party data sources, collaborate with Sales and Business Development, and support automation and process improvements in merchant risk evaluation.

Responsibilities include DPIAs, privacy risk assessments, breach governance, data subject rights, compliance monitoring, control reviews, audits, regulatory inquiries, management reporting, issue remediation, and translating requirements into governance standards. Partners with Legal, Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to strengthen the UK compliance framework and oversee consumer protection, conduct risk, and vulnerable customer programs.

Evaluate, structure, and price consumer asset-backed transactions; develop capital structuring, pricing, and quantitative loan-performance models; and provide funding strategy insights. Partner with Capital Markets, Treasury, Merchant Pricing, Credit, Commercial, Product, and Engineering teams to support funding, product, and business decisions. The role also involves collaborating with accountants, rating agencies, and internal and external partners.

Evaluate, structure, and price consumer asset-backed transactions; develop capital structuring, pricing, and quantitative loan performance models; and provide insights supporting funding strategy and merchant pricing. Collaborate with Capital Markets, Treasury, Credit, Commercial, Product, Engineering, and other teams to guide funding, product, and business decisions.

Lead and build the Bank FP&A function during formation: manage forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, capital stress testing, performance reporting, strategic decision support, and partner with cross-functional teams and Bank CFO to drive financial planning and capital strategy.

Oversee GL operations, regulatory and monthly financial reporting, audit coordination, process automation, cash management, and financial analysis. Manage and recruit the accounting team and partner cross-functionally to integrate bank accounting into Affirm's systems while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Support design, implementation, and operation of Affirm Bank's BSA/AML and compliance technology. Build and test transaction-monitoring rules, case-management workflows, dashboards, and controls; analyze alerts and control performance; maintain documentation; coordinate across Compliance, Product, Engineering, Data, and vendors to ensure audit-ready, scalable compliance systems.
