Top Linux Jobs in San Diego, CA

Design and implement scalable backend services and web/mobile features for a high-traffic product. Improve reliability, testing, and architecture, participate in on-call/incident response, mentor engineers, collaborate with product and design, and evaluate new tools to boost performance and remove team blockers.

Lead mechanical capital and continuous-improvement projects from scope through startup. Create AutoCAD mechanical and installation drawings, P&IDs, PFDs, equipment layouts, RFQs, and as-built documentation. Support vendor selection, equipment installations, contractor coordination, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover in food manufacturing environments.

Lead design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of plant automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA). Manage automation scope for capital projects, develop software and HMI graphics, maintain documentation, and drive operational efficiency and compliance.

Design and build customer, agent, and partner interfaces end-to-end using React and TypeScript. Own the design system, accessibility, performance, and motion. Iterate rapidly with users and insurance experts, and craft AI-native surfaces that make autonomous agents feel trustworthy. Take features from sketch to production with full ownership.

Lead capital projects for manufacturing and engineering, develop and install packaging and automation equipment, coordinate cross-functional new product launches, manage vendors and machine builds, supervise startup/validation, and maintain engineering documentation.

Build, maintain, and expand multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure). Manage account/directory/IAM, core networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing), and security frameworks including ZTNA. Apply a software-engineering mindset to automate, troubleshoot Linux/Windows workloads, debug Python/JavaScript, document work in Jira/GitHub/Confluence, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure.

Build and maintain React front-end and Golang backend services deployed on AWS. Collaborate with Product and planners, write tests, pair program, estimate work in a ScrumBan process, and participate in performance and learning initiatives to improve a fintech planning platform.

Build production-quality motion-planning and manipulation systems converting CAD/process paths into collision-free, constrained Cartesian robot trajectories. Account for kinematics, inverse kinematics continuity, collision avoidance, external axes, calibration, sensor feedback, trajectory generation, and industrial robot integration. Debug on physical robots, create simulation/verification and logging infrastructure, and work with cross-functional teams to deploy and maintain reliable manufacturing automation.

Operate, troubleshoot, and commission tray- and rack-level direct-to-chip test rigs. Plan and execute test campaigns, validate and clean test data for analysis, install and verify sensors and instrumentation, support rig builds and procurement, and report findings and anomalies to engineering teams to drive system efficiency.

Design and deliver industrial electrical power distribution, motor control, and automation systems. Produce electrical design packages and calculations, specify equipment, ensure code compliance, review vendor submittals, support construction, testing and commissioning, and coordinate cross-discipline teams to execute projects.
