The market for cutting-edge ML compute is broken. Startups, researchers and even big AI labs are scrambling to buy or rent access to the latest chips for ML training. But demand far outstrips supply, and what’s available is only accessible to the well-resourced, placing an artificial damper on innovation. To solve this challenge, we've launched Voltage Park, and we’re on a mission to make machine learning infrastructure accessible to all, from large enterprises and research universities, to seed-stage startups and nonprofits. With around 24,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs, the Voltage Park cloud is one of the most powerful collections of cutting-edge ML compute in the world. Our clusters consist of 80GB H100 SXM5 GPUs fully interconnected with 3.2T InfiniBand. We currently offer bare-metal access for large-scale users that need peak performance. We will add support for short-term leases and hourly billing soon as we spin up our infrastructure along with support for familiar tools like Slurm, Kubernetes, and Mosaic for easy integration into existing training frameworks.

Rainforest is a Payments-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider. We help software companies build and optimize embedded financial services so that they can provide a best-in-class payments experience for their end merchants without the risk, compliance, and operational burdens of registering as a payments facilitator with the card networks. Analysts estimate that by 2030, 75% of all payments globally will be processed via software versus traditional banking channels. Rainforest helps software platforms navigate this massive evolution, by enabling them to drive significant new revenue and improve customer retention by enabling their customers (“merchants”) to accept and send payments. Rainforest is the only payments provider built from the ground up to specifically support the unique needs of vertical software platforms. We provide highly-customizable, low-code, white-label integration technology, fully embedded payments and reporting, and a platform-specific merchant underwriting model. Our PaaS approach is unique because clients don’t have to make tradeoffs between a lightweight referral partnership and building payments infrastructure in-house. Instead, they get the benefits of both worlds: strong unit economics with no upfront costs, plus full ownership and portability of their customer data. Rainforest is led by industry experts, former vertical-SaaS executives, and payments consultants who have spent decades in the payments buyer’s seat. We built Rainforest to be the payments provider we always wanted.

A massive shift is taking place within SaaS. Just as perpetual licensing gave way to subscription, subscription is giving way to usage-based pricing. But tying revenue to usage fundamentally changes how every part of the business operates, from billing teams to the C-suite. Turnstile is the modern stack to help companies adopt and scale with usage-based pricing. We're a small, fully remote, and proven team with strong backing from First Round Capital, prominent usage-based founders and operators, and other top investors. The last company we started, Second Measure, scaled to 70+ people and tens of millions in revenue, received multiple Best Places to Work awards, and was ultimately acquired by Bloomberg in a landmark deal. We're known for investing in our people and for building intentional, inclusive culture. We pay SF salaries regardless of location and have comprehensive benefits more typical of bigger companies — fully-paid health/mental/dental/vision, 401k (with match), paid parental leave, and much more. Lastly, we are a high-trust, flexible workplace with unlimited PTO and a 4-day core schedule — Fridays are yours for focused work, personal projects, family time, or whatever else helps you live a rich and balanced life.

What the software does: The goal of OpenStack is to allow any organization to create and offer cloud computing capabilities using open source software running on standard hardware. OpenStack Compute is software for automatically creating and managing large groups of virtual private servers. OpenStack Storage is software for creating redundant, scalable object storage using clusters of commodity servers to store terabytes or even petabytes of data. Why open matters: All of the code for OpenStack is freely available under the Apache 2.0 license. Anyone can run it, build on it, or submit changes back to the project. We strongly believe that an open development model is the only way to foster badly-needed cloud standards, remove the fear of proprietary lock-in for cloud customers, and create a large ecosystem that spans cloud providers.

OpenMetal is the first company to offer an on-demand, open source hosted private cloud solution that is both affordable and easy to use. OpenMetal’s platform is based on OpenStack, a leading open source cloud computing platform. This means that OpenMetal customers have access to the latest cloud computing technologies at a fraction of the cost of proprietary cloud solutions. While a powerful open source cloud platform, OpenStack has a reputation for being difficult and complex to launch and manage. We truly believe in the power of open source and wanted to make it a realistic option for organizations looking for an alternative to mainstream cloud options like AWS and GCP. With OpenMetal, you can launch a production-ready cloud in 45 seconds – without the expensive hardware investment or steep learning curve. We’re on a mission to make OpenStack accessible to everyone. Many organizations are either building and maintaining their own private clouds, or using a mega-cloud provider. However, building and maintaining your own private cloud is complex and expensive, and the big public cloud providers can be costly and inflexible. We provide an open source alternative with lower costs, more transparency and control, and greater flexibility, all tailored to your unique needs. Businesses of all sizes, from startups to large enterprises, have found success on OpenMetal Cloud. Companies that are currently using public clouds, but are looking for a new cloud deployment model with more flexibility and control are ideal candidates for our platform. Other potential fits include businesses that are running their own on-premises infrastructure, but are looking to migrate to the cloud. Our clients span a wide range of industries and use cases including SaaS providers, hosting and public cloud providers, managed service providers, and organizations that need to reduce cloud costs, find a public cloud alternative, build big data infrastructure, find S3 alternatives, run Kubernetes workloads, or launch large IaaS deployments.
