Design and build an AWS-hosted proxy application to connect Thomson Reuters apps to Amazon Alexa speech APIs. Work with product owners and architects, implement new technologies, build JSON REST APIs, deploy and maintain production services on AWS, and communicate status and roadblocks.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and distributed systems using Scala, Java, and the Akka ecosystem; build RESTful APIs and cloud-native solutions on AWS; design data access with Slick/SQL; maintain CI/CD pipelines; participate in architecture, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.

The Scala Developer will work on developing applications with strong Scala and Java skills, requiring at least 6 years of experience.
