Senior Legal Counsel will advise Gilbane’s Mid-Atlantic Division on construction contracts, commercial transactions, claims, disputes, risk management, compliance, safety, and procurement. The role drafts and negotiates agreements, guides project teams through claims and dispute resolution, manages outside counsel, develops risk mitigation processes, and trains operational teams. The position requires an experienced in-house construction attorney who can partner with project and executive leadership across a fast-paced construction environment.

Provides comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including document preparation, proofreading, calendar and travel management, client and transactional support, billing administration, CLE and bar admission processing, recordkeeping, and coordination with internal and external contacts. The role requires confidentiality, accuracy, organization, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, document management systems, and legal support applications.

Own commercial legal work, including drafting and negotiating enterprise technology agreements, SaaS licenses, partnerships, reseller arrangements, procurement contracts, and data processing agreements. Advise on AI product terms, data rights, intellectual property, cybersecurity testing permissions, liability, and risk allocation. Partner with Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Security, while building scalable legal processes, templates, playbooks, and training. The role requires independently leading complex negotiations and supporting a growing technology startup.

Provides civil legal advice, brief services, referrals, and support to low-income and vulnerable clients through a legal helpline. Conducts eligibility screening, consultations, legal research, issue analysis, and prepares pleadings and letters for pro se litigants.
