Provides first-line IT support for employees in a remote environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, account, access, connectivity, laptop, and peripheral issues; supporting onboarding and offboarding; managing and documenting tickets; configuring devices and software; maintaining IT documentation; escalating complex problems; and identifying recurring issues. The role requires strong communication, organization, troubleshooting, and service skills, with 0–2 years of related experience.

Manage day-to-day IT for a remote-first startup, including onboarding and offboarding, device and account administration, employee troubleshooting, IT documentation, vendor coordination, endpoint security, DNS, MDM, patching, and compliance support. The role also contributes to IT projects such as MDM migration, tooling rollouts, vendor evaluation, and security improvements. This is a part-time engagement of approximately 8–10 hours weekly with occasional onsite support preferred in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Provide global IT support across hardware, software, identity, networking, cloud applications, onboarding, device provisioning, access management, endpoint administration, and asset tracking. Administer workplace systems including Okta, Google Workspace, and Kandji or Jamf. Troubleshoot macOS and Windows environments, maintain documentation and inventories, support security and compliance activities, and build automations to improve IT workflows and employee experience.

Manage identity and access systems, endpoint devices, office networking, AV and conferencing infrastructure. Automate recurring IT issues, serve as a technical escalation point, support employee onboarding and offboarding, maintain secure configurations, and partner with Security on SOC 2 audit readiness. The role also contributes to Agile sprints and IT projects within a fully remote, geographically distributed team.

Provide hardware and software support to end users, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, respond to phone and email requests, document and track incidents for timely resolution, follow pre-established guidelines, and work under immediate supervision. Knowledge of Ghost Imaging software is a plus.

Install, configure, and support networks, computers, and mobile devices. Troubleshoot hardware/software, perform backups and disaster recovery, implement network security, monitor system performance, administer physical security systems (cameras/DVRs/badging), and assist with enforcement systems (ELSAG, LPR). Provide on-site and remote technical support and produce user documentation.

Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, internet systems, desktops and mobile devices. Support print servers and VMware virtual environment. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ASA firewalls, review event logs on Windows Server 2008/2012, and administer Active Directory in an enterprise environment.
