Top Entry Level Linux Jobs in San Diego, CA

Coordinates aerospace test and certification requirements, authors and executes flight and ground test plans, develops test automation scripts, and prepares technical reports. The role supports testing across aircraft and novel propulsion platforms, including electric and hydrogen systems, while requiring experience with aerospace systems, flight software, simulations, schematics, and hardware. This remote position requires extensive domestic and international travel, an FAA Third Class Medical Certificate, a clean driving record, and U.S. Person export-control eligibility.

Leads the technical vision and execution of Pinterest’s large-scale indexing and retrieval infrastructure across Core, Ads, and Shopping. Drives architecture modernization, real-time and incremental retrieval, shared platform capabilities, metrics, debugging workflows, and improvements in relevance, freshness, reliability, coverage, and cost. Partners across engineering, product, ML, and infrastructure organizations, mentors senior technical staff, and validates AI-assisted engineering work with strong attention to correctness, privacy, safety, and operational excellence.

Supports senior accident reconstruction experts with motor vehicle collision investigations, site and vehicle inspections, evidence preservation, data analysis, technical research, report and exhibit preparation, and deposition and trial support. The role includes learning 3D laser scanning and simulation tools, contributing to technical publications, and eventually delivering presentations. Frequent driving and travel for inspections are required, with comprehensive training provided and no prior accident reconstruction experience necessary.

Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform, manage ECS and Docker workloads, develop CI/CD pipelines, configure networking and security, monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and improve reliability, automation, cloud security, cost management, and platform engineering practices. The role also requires documentation, runbooks, GitOps workflows, and collaboration with technology teams.

Design, implement, test, and operate features for Temporal’s open-source distributed workflow server. The role focuses on backend systems, task processing, scheduling, persistence, visibility, reliability, performance, observability, and developer experience. The engineer will collaborate across teams, participate in design and code reviews, improve documentation and operational tooling, and contribute to a complex open-source codebase while developing distributed systems expertise.

Performs quality assurance and data testing for cloud data pipelines, integrations, migrations, analytics, and AI agent use cases. Designs and executes functional, integration, regression, backend, and SQL-based tests in Databricks and AWS environments. Documents defects, maintains test cases and traceability evidence, validates data accuracy and transformations, and collaborates with engineers and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum teams within a regulated federal environment.

Designs and manages manufacturing processes, production lines, equipment changes, tooling, process documentation, and new-model development. Analyzes first-time-through and reject rates, process capability, downtime, and production losses to drive improvements. Prepares PPAP materials, manages spare parts and machine settings, and supports sample builds. The role works across office and manufacturing-floor environments, requires PPE, and may include overtime, weekends, and holidays during production issues.

Performs structural analyses and develops substantiation for aircraft modifications, repairs, and certification programs. Evaluates strength, stiffness, fatigue, damage tolerance, vibration, thermal performance, and airworthiness compliance. Prepares stress reports, margin-of-safety calculations, certification documentation, and engineering analyses. Reviews designs, develops load paths and analytical models, supports fabrication, testing, and installation, and collaborates with engineering, production, quality, customers, and certification authorities.

Own and characterize a fleet of robotic hardware and capture devices, engineer controlled physical test environments, build instrumentation and ground-truth references, and integrate physical runs into automated evaluation systems. Execute robot bring-up, teleoperation, device-in-the-loop testing, and sim-to-real experiments. Automate calibration, data offload, and condition logging while maintaining safety procedures, fleet operations, documentation, and reproducible test protocols.

Analyze systems-level engineering problems involving requirements, interfaces, data flows, tools, workflows, and integration. Support interoperability across digital engineering environments, including MBSE, PLM, requirements management, CAD, and technical data systems. Develop technical artifacts, conduct trade studies, engage customers and subject-matter experts, and drive ambiguous technical issues toward resolution. The role requires strong systems thinking, analytical ability, communication skills, and the capacity to learn unfamiliar engineering domains quickly.
