Collect, code, and quality-assure open-source data for AidData's Chinese Financing for Transition Minerals (CFTM) dataset. Perform specialized research on critical mineral end-use manufacturing, financing, and Chinese private-sector operations; synthesize findings and support dataset expansion.

Work with senior data engineers to design, build, and optimize Databricks/Spark data pipelines and Lakehouse solutions. Write PySpark and SQL, implement ETL/ELT, perform data validation and performance tuning, support governance and CI/CD, collaborate with analysts and stakeholders, and document designs.

The Scientific Implementation Associate works with R&D teams to onboard customers, configure scientific workflows on the Uncountable platform, and improve data accessibility for experiments.
