Create a company profileNASEO is the only national non-profit association for the governor-designated energy officials from each state and territory. Formed by the states in 1986, NASEO facilitates peer learning among state energy officials, serves as a resource for and about state energy offices, and advocates the interests of the state energy offices to Congress and federal agencies. The State and Territory Energy Offices (SEOs) were formed in response to the energy crisis of the early 1970s. SEOs are important agents of change that: - Advance practical energy policies and support energy technology research, demonstration, and deployment. - Partner with the private sector to accelerate energy-related economic development and enhance environmental quality. - Focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, transportation fuel diversity, and traditional fuel development. - Allocate or oversee more than $7 billion of funds derived from ratepayers and state appropriations annually. - Aid in emergency response and mitigation related to energy infrastructure, liquid fuels, and cyber security.

The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA®) is the driving force behind solar energy and is building a strong solar industry to power America through advocacy and education. As the national trade association in the U.S., we represent all organizations that promote, manufacture, install and support the development of solar energy. SEIA works with its 1,000 member companies to champion the use of clean, affordable solar in America by expanding markets, removing market barriers, strengthening the industry and educating the public on the benefits of solar energy. Our member companies consist of installers, project developers, manufacturers, contractors, financiers and non-profits, all of whom see the benefit in joining SEIA and working collectively toward a clean future. Together, we hope to continue the already impressive growth of solar across the United States.

N5 Sensors, Inc. of Rockville, MD is a University of Maryland spin-off leveraging innovations in nanoengineered materials and devices to create novel sensing and detection solutions. N5 is currently commercializing a new-generation of chip-scale chemical sensor technology that can detect harmful chemicals mixed in air, such as industrial chemicals, automobile exhausts, cigarette smoke, and pollutants released from paints, cleaners, pesticides and other products. These new sensors, built using the same fabrication processes that are commonly used for silicon computer chips, are small and accurate with capability to detect multiple gases at the same time. N5 is working to develop arrays of multi-analyte sensors on a single chip, which can be integrated with smart phones, allowing industrial workers, first-responders, and soldiers to assess the dangers of their surroundings rapidly and accurately in real-time using their smart phones.
