DC Water Benefits Overview

Maintains electronic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation and industrial process control systems. Troubleshoots and repairs PLCs, operator interfaces, field signals, bus networks, VFDs, and valve actuators. Performs commissioning, system integration, root-cause analysis, work planning, documentation, and training. The role requires interpreting electrical drawings, P&IDs, PLC and PCS logic, using electronic test equipment, operating Authority vehicles, and working in challenging industrial environments.

Supports customer compliance programs involving cross-connections, hydrants, grease abatement, illegal discharges, and water/sewer connections. Manages inspections, quality assurance, work orders, records, reporting, customer communications, vendors, contractors, and regulatory coordination. Develops procedures, evaluates technology and processes, coordinates team workloads, supports enforcement activities, and works with legal teams, agencies, and stakeholders. Field work includes site inspections and potentially confined or industrial environments.

Supports organization-wide visual communications through graphic design, photography, illustration, publication layout, presentations, newsletters, reports, logos, social media, and advertising. Manages vendor photography and signage installation, creates executive presentations, writes and edits printed materials, and communicates organizational programs and services to the public.
