The role involves creating insights on AI in legal departments, advising clients, and collaborating on strategies for implementing AI technologies.

Lead and scale Legal and Compliance functions, manage a 3–4 person team, own contract lifecycle and Ironclad CLM workflows, build compliance programs (MNPI, privacy, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA), advise leadership, collaborate cross-functionally, and create policies, training, and controls to support growth.

Manage construction defect litigation and complex third-party claim files, perform coverage analysis, manage outside counsel, conduct legal research and file audits, advise on negotiations/mediations, recommend reserves/payments, and support policy form review and claims reporting to senior management.

Act as the JD-systems bridge: establish client trust in AI, support commercial sales, design legal decision workflows, and lead evaluation teams of paralegals/nurse consultants to validate audit-ready AI outputs.

Provide in-house legal guidance to the Fundraising, Product, and Engineering teams, focusing on marketing, product development, and privacy regulations.

Own commercial contracting, privacy and data-protection (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA) programs, corporate governance, IP/open-source policy, and telecom/AI regulatory posture. Be the in-house legal function: build playbooks, support Sales/Product/Engineering, and manage outside counsel to keep deals and product shipping moving quickly.
