Position Summary
The Workiva Functionality Assistant Manager will be part of the MetLife Workiva COE, driving design, implementation, and optimization of Workiva-based financial reporting solutions across SEC/GAAP, Statutory, and other local and management reporting, with a focus on maximizing platform utilization.
The role also serves as a key enablement and support resource-onboarding and training global Finance teams, resolving user queries, and driving adoption.
Additionally, the Manager will leverage automation and AI (e.g., chat-based assistants and smart tools) to enhance efficiency, scalability, and user experience, while establishing COE-led standards, best practices, and scalable support processes across the reporting landscape.
Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Workiva-based solutions for SEC/GAAP, Statutory and other local and management reporting, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
• Configure integrations, linking, and roll-forwards while maximizing platform capabilities and utilization by Automations, Binders, Calendars, Charts, Documents, Presentations, Spreadsheets, Processes, Tasks, Dynamic Table Management, and Advanced Formulas
• Support onboarding, training, and user experience to drive adoption and consistent use across global Finance teams
• Partner with business and technology teams to translate reporting needs into scalable Workiva solutions and continuously improve processes
• Drive automation and AI-enabled solutions (e.g., chat assistants, smart workflows) to enhance efficiency and user experience
• Enable reliable, governed data through Wdata support, data pipelines, and integration with upstream systems
• Support change management initiatives tied to new functionality and process
• Manage cross-functional coordination, documentation, and delivery to ensure smooth execution, adoption, and continuous enhancement

Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement
Education
Bachelor's degree in any stream (e.g., Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields)
Experience
(In Years)
• 7+ years of relevant finance, financial reporting, or consulting experience, with exposure to SEC/GAAP, Statutory, or management reporting
Technical Skills
• Workiva Platform Certification highly preferred
• Strong hands-on experience in Workiva (documents, linking, workflows, reporting) and Wdata , supporting SEC/GAAP, statutory, and management reporting cycles or full implementations
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and deliver efficient, compliant reporting solutions , leveraging automation and AI tools
• Excellent communication and training skills , including onboarding global users, conducting workshops, and developing documentation/enablement content
• Demonstrated ability to manage initiatives and collaborate across teams , with domain knowledge in insurance , investment or financial services and a results-driven mindset
