The Opportunity:

The Global Technology & Operations group (GTO) is a diverse team of engineers, developers, business analysts, claims analysts and project managers with the freedom to create innovative and solutions to address core business challenges with MetLife. This role support Change Management and Correspondence work for Disability and AMS including review requests for change to process and correspondence, document customizations, and other non-standard items to support disability claim operations in all areas of claim management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that requested variances/updates are handled timely and accurately and meeting our customer needs while remaining within all compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Review, investigate and respond to questions related to individual change requests. Identify gaps in content and/or inefficiencies in proposed process and recommend alternative solutions.
• Work with multiple partners for investigation, analysis, and development of non-standard process and/or correspondence requests including but not limited to claim operations, customer delivery and legal. Works with all parties to ensure agreement and sign off on final outcome.
• Under general supervision, oversee all aspects of small projects and/or phases of larger projects to implement new and/or modified processes, procedures, and/or initiatives
• Translates business needs into requirements
• Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
• Runs or assists with project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
• Provides updates to business leadership regarding project status and the application and implementation of new or revised procedures, processes, and/or initiatives
• Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met
• Manages critical relationships with consultants and vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership
• May provide information and/or training to end users to help resolve inquiries related to assigned processes, procedures, and/or initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned or required
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
• 3+ years of Disability claims management experience.
• Expert knowledge/experience level of varied processes/products, Federal and State regulations, contracts and all disability claim management and correspondence systems.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Highly organized; able to work independently and prioritize work to meet changing business needs, timelines, goals and metrics.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with Paid Family and Medical Leave or similar products
• Able to work with various company databases (SharePoint, Livelink), Webex and Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Access).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
The expected salary range for this position is $54,100 - $82,800. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
