Sr. Software Dev Engineer Test_Asst. Manager

Description and Requirements
1. As a bilingual SDET, need to support the end-to-end quality assurance lifecycle, including requirements analysis, test case design, test data preparation, manual and automated testing, test execution, and result reporting.
2. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts with help on AI to ensure high product quality and efficient regression coverage.
3. Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and QA teams to understandfunctional and non-functional requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
4. Act as a bilingual communication bridge between onshore and offshore teams in English and Japanese, ensuring clear understanding of requirements, timely clarifications, and effective knowledge sharing.
5. Translate and explain requirements, testing outcomes, and technical details across teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
6. Actively contribute within Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
7. Track defects through their lifecycle, ensure timely updates and follow-ups, and help drive prompt resolution of critical issues. Identify recurring issues, recommend preventive actions, and suggest improvements in automation, test coverage, and overall efficiency.
8. Ability to leverage AI, Prompt Engineering, Copilot technologies, and AI-assisted quality engineering practices to enhance test planning, test design, automation, defect analysis, risk assessment, and overall STLC efficiency, accelerating delivery while improving product quality and team productivity.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, such as Playwright or similar tools
• Strong understanding of test automation best practices, test design patterns, and CI/CD integration
• Experience working in Agile development methodologies.
• Must Exposure to AI, including agentic workflows.
• Practical knowledge of applying AI across multiple phases of testing such as requirement analysis, test design, test data generation, automation development, execution analysis, and defect triage.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• English (Business Level/Native)
• Japanese (Native/N2 or equivalent able to speak/understand Business/Technical conversation)
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with modern development and testing tools in cloud-based or distributed systems
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working across onshore and offshore delivery models.
Tech Stack: Selenium or Playwright, Azure (cloud, devops) Knowledge of AI-enabled testing approaches including agentic AI and RAG.
