Position Summary
MetLife established a Global capability center (MGCC) in India to scale and mature Data & Analytics, technology and operations capabilities in a cost-effective manner and make MetLife future ready. The center is integral to Global Technology and Operations with a focus to protect & build MetLife IP, promote reusability and drive experimentation and innovation. The Data & Analytics team in India mirrors the Global D&A team with an objective to drive business value through trusted data, scaled capabilities, and actionable insights. The operating models consists of business aligned data officers- US, Japan and LatAm & Corporate functions enabled by enterprise COEs- data engineering, data governance and data science
Role Value Proposition:
UI UX developers demonstrate JavaScript, React-based UI development, API integration, performance optimization, and scalable front-end engineering experience. It is an individual contributor role.
Job Responsibilities
* Support the design, development, and integration of solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end technical solutions
* Perform requirements and fit-gap analysis, evaluate solution options, develop technical designs, conduct peer code reviews, and contribute to development activities including deployment and implementation support.
* Create technical documentation and related artifacts.
* Support the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of production issues.
* Identify , document, and remediate technical debt to enhance solution maintainability and performance.
* Collaborate with multiple partners from Business, Technology, Operations and D&A capabilities to resolve issues, address complex challenges, and deliver business-aligned solutions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent educational qualification
Technical Skills and Experience
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience
*JAVA Script, Redux, Graph QL,RTL , ReactJS, NodeJS, HTML 5, CSS3, Bootstrap 3, JavaScript( ES6), Ajax, jQuery ,ECMAScript features , ES6+
* Experience integrating with scalable back-end services ( e.g. , REST / graph-QL )
Experience in designing UI Micro front end UI framework using REACTJS.
* Experience with NodeJS tooling such as Webpack, Linting, Rollup, Prettier and etc ...
* Understanding of modern debugging techniques and performance profiling for React applications
Understanding of containerization and Twelve-Factor Methodology
* Create designs, from concept through prototyping like Figma , Adobe XD, etc.
* UI Performance optimization techniques.
Communication and Structured problem-solving skills
Good to Have (Preferred)
* W3C Web components development experience
* Experience developing using Google Lit Element or Microsoft FAST Design libraries
* Usage of Storybook for components development and demos
Working knowledge for backend frameworks like spring boot and API development
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
Cloud Experience : Azure / AWS

Skills Required
