- Prepare test swatches in accordance with established testing procedures and method requirements
- Conduct laboratory tests accurately and efficiently, following assigned standards and protocols, and record results in a timely manner
- Prepare and manage chemicals, reagents, and standard materials required for testing activities
- Operate and handle laboratory equipment and testing apparatus in line with work instructions and safety standards
- Actively participate in proficiency testing (PT), inter-laboratory comparisons, and correlation programs to support quality assurance initiatives
- Maintain laboratory equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance, accuracy, and safety
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laboratory through proper housekeeping practices
- Continuously develop technical knowledge related to testing methods, standards, and assigned tasks
- Provide updates and communicate effectively with the reporting supervisor on work progress and technical matters
- Support process improvements, including opportunities for automation in testing workflows
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor or Laboratory Operation Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in Textile Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field (2-year or 4-year qualification)
- At least 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience in textile or softline testing preferred
- Basic understanding of textile testing standards and laboratory procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and clients
- Demonstrated problem-solving mindset with a proactive and innovative approach
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team-oriented environment
- Interest in leveraging automation and technology to improve testing efficiency
