Description and Requirements
Requirements:
• At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or business finance partnering, preferably with exposure to IT or technology-related cost management.
• Hands-on experience supporting annual budget planning, quarterly forecasts, monthly financial reviews, and variance analysis for business or functional stakeholders.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, MBA Finance) or progress toward a recognized qualification is preferred; equivalent experience in a corporate finance or business partnering role will also be considered.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to data quality, template management, reconciliations, and reporting timelines. Power BI or similar reporting tool experience would be an advantage.
• Experience working in multinational, matrixed, or regional organizations is preferred; exposure to IT cost allocation, project financial tracking, vendor spend analysis, or governance processes would be beneficial.
Job Description:
• Support the Director, Head of Team, in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control activities for the IT function.
• Prepare monthly IT financial reporting packs, including actuals versus budget/forecast, variance explanations, trend analysis, and risk and opportunity commentary.
• Work with IT budget owners, finance controllers, accounting teams, and other stakeholders to collect inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Support investment cases, vendor evaluations, project financial tracking, and ad hoc financial analysis through scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and cost-benefit assessment.
• Assist with month-end close coordination, accrual reviews, reconciliations, financial controls, and governance processes to ensure completeness and accuracy of results.
• Translate financial data into clear analysis and practical insights for management review, including spend drivers, forecast movements, risks, opportunities, and recommended follow-up actions.
