The Opportunity
The Regional Director, Group Benefits Sales leads sales and strategy and performance for the Philadelphia market within MetLife's Group Benefits organization. In this role, you will build and support a high-performing sales team, strengthen broker and consultant partnerships, and drive sustainable business growth to employers who are anywhere from 2-5000 eligible lives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional sales strategy and execution to drive profitable growth
- Build strong, trusted relationships with brokers, consultants, and clients
- Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and sales performance insights
- Partner with Underwriting, Product, and Service teams to support sales
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
- Lead and support a team of approximately 9-10 Account Executives
- Promote continuous learning, development, and engagement across the team
- Ability to encourage consistent use of approved AI tools within workflows, identify repeatable use cases that improve productivity, and analyze AI-driven data to inform team decisions and operational planning
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools across the sales force to enhance productivity, insights, and sales execution through coaching, collaboration, and change leadership
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 10+ years of experience in Group Benefit sales
- FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations and applicable state licenses, or ability to obtain (MetLife will support licensing)
- Demonstrated success driving both revenue growth and sustained business performance
- Strong ability to apply financial and strategic insights to position solutions that align with client goals and deliver measurable value
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop sales professionals
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
- Comfort influencing across internal teams and complex stakeholder networks
- Strong professional ethics, accountability, and customer focus
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the regional Group Benefits local market
- Experience leading sales teams in competitive environments
- Experience leading teams through technology or process change
- Collaborative work style with the ability to partner across functions
The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 . This role is also eligible for annual sales incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
