Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Join the B2B Security Product Management team and gain hands-on experience, helping shape the future of security products and solutions. In this role, you will work directly with Product Managers and Business Analysts to analyze portfolio performance, support new product development initiatives, gather customer and market insights, and identify opportunities to improve business processes through data and AI-driven tools. You will contribute to real business decisions while building foundational skills in product management, analytics, and innovation.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to influence real product, portfolio, and process decisions while gaining hands-on experience with data analytics, customer insights, innovation, and AI-enabled business tools.                  

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

What you will be doing

  • Analyze product portfolio performance using business intelligence tools, databases, and analytics platforms to identify revenue, volume, and profitability trends.
  • Assist Product Managers in evaluating opportunities for new products, portfolio expansion, and product lifecycle management decisions.
  • Conduct summaries of insights and secondary market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and emerging opportunities within the security category.
  • Perform competitive analysis, including feature, performance, pricing, and positioning assessments.
  • Assist with business case development, financial modeling, and product profitability analyses.
  • Support new product development projects through requirements documentation, product data management, SKU setup, and launch readiness activities.
  • Explore and evaluate AI-enabled tools and process improvement opportunities that can enhance product management effectiveness and team productivity.
  • Collaborate across Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams on special projects and business initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to Product Management leadership and key stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: (2-3 bullet points)

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with data and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (3-5 bullet points)

  • Interest in Product Management, Marketing, Strategy, Innovation, or New Product Development.
  • Experience or inclination in using data visualization or analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered productivity or analytics tools and an interest in process improvement.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Experience conducting research, analyzing data, or developing recommendations through coursework, internships, or project work.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $33,300 USD - $45,760 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
