Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Lead Web Technologies Developer, who will closely work with our customers across Digital, Direct-To-Consumer, Customer service, ERP systems. Technical Lead - IT Web Technologies will help execute the Fortune Brands Innovations digital strategy in alignment with business strategies.  You will be working for our high-performing team, focused on the timely delivery of software initiatives on the various enterprise platforms.

 

Your Path to Success:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams in adopting the right tools, frameworks, and technologies
  • Assist team manager to create the team strategy including planning, forecasting, and monitoring your team’s work
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in real-time
  • Collaborate with Digital and Direct-To-Consumer teams to ensure technology and resource alignment with the overall business goals and implementation plans
  • Ensure deliverables are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry’s best practices.
  • Stay updated on brand and commerce advancements to continually improve the architecture and design of e-commerce platforms.
  • Inspire and lead other developers by creating a collaborative environment where innovation is celebrated
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams within IT and throughout the business to identify top initiatives
  • Lead efforts to identify opportunities to enhance technology and innovations
  • Lead and/or participate in agile ceremonies such as story grooming, sprint planning, etc., may include project leader and administration responsibilities.
  • May supervise the work of other team members

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s level degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of web development experience is required
  • Deep knowledge of web frameworks such as Next.js, React, Angular, Node.js
  • Strong knowledge of Git and CI/CD development
  • Proven track record of successful, consumer-facing website implementation projects.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with:
    • Commerce Platforms: Shopify, Commercetools, etc.
    • CMS: Bloomreach CMS, Sitecore, WordPress, Embraco
    • API: Web Services, Web API, any other API platforms
    • CDNs: Akamai, Cloudflare, etc
    • PIM & DAM: Widen, Salsify, Stibo
    • Release Management: JIRA, Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Understanding of design patterns, UX/UI design, best practices, technical architecture and data modelling
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate development testing
  • Good understanding and working experience with Agile methodology using scrum/Kanban/xp
  • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Experience working on enterprise platforms and open-source technologies
  • Strong documentation, communication, and project coordination capabilities.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $105,000 USD - $165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
