The Opportunity
The Executive Protection Agent is responsible for safeguarding company executives through comprehensive protective security operations, risk mitigation, and travel security support. This role contributes to the safety, continuity, and success of the organization's leadership by ensuring a secure environment at corporate offices, events, residences, and during domestic and international travel.
Guided by our purpose and commitment to protecting our people and business operations, this position offers the opportunity to operate in a dynamic, challenging environment where discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment are essential. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, corporate security, business partners, and external stakeholders to identify risks, implement protective measures, and respond effectively to security incidents.
Due to the nature of executive protection operations, this role may require flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel. Overtime opportunities are available and may be required to support executive coverage, special events, and emerging business needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct risk-informed protective operations to safeguard designated executives during business activities, travel, public appearances, meetings, and special events.
• Execute risk-based protective operations to ensure the safety and security of designated executives.
• Provide close protection support during travel, meetings, public appearances, events, and other business activities.
• Transport protected individuals safely and applied protective driving techniques when necessary.
• Conduct protective advances for executive travel, meetings, and special events to identify security risks and operational requirements.
• Develop and implement protective security plans, route assessments, contingency measures, and emergency response procedures.
• Leverage threat intelligence, protective intelligence, and risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Detect and counter surveillance, hostile activity, and other indicators of emerging security concerns.
• Support executive travel and event operations through advance planning, logistical coordination, and security oversight.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, workplace violence situations, and other threats impacting protected personnel.
• Coordinate protective activities with law enforcement, emergency responders, security partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Support executive protection operations, incident response efforts, and C-Suite security requirements.
• Maintain operational readiness of assigned equipment, vehicles, communication systems, and emergency response resources.
• Maintain required certifications, qualifications, training standards, and proficiency in protective operations.
• Prepare risk assessments, operational plans, incident reports, and after-action reviews to support informed decision-making and program effectiveness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through training, exercises, operational evaluations, and lessons learned.
• Exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism while balancing executive service expectations with security and risk management objectives.
• Protect sensitive information and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Must live commutable distance to NYC office
- 5+ years of executive protection experience supporting C-suite executives, boards of directors, or other high-profile individuals.
- Previous law enforcement, military, or executive protection experience and experience supporting international travel operations and working in complex global environments.
- Current concealed firearm permit required (HR218).
- Current New York State Security Guard license and armed guard license.
- Previous experience driving high profile executives.
- Formal training in defensive driving, protective intelligence, behavioral threat assessment, or emergency management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity and consistently act in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner while transporting passengers.
- Availability to commence work with short notice and flexibility in terms of working hours, e.g., ability to work late and/or on weekends if required.
- Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must have excellent driving knowledge of the tri-state area and the ability to operate GPS equipment as well as the capability to read and interpret documents such as maps, safety rules, vehicle maintenance instructions, trip instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Submit to annual background rescreening.
- Ability to make quick, calm decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated curiosity and inquisitiveness, with the ability to think critically, ask thoughtful questions, and assess situations from multiple perspectives to support sound decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
