Environmental Project Handler

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, works as an engineer to evaluate and review the environmental attributes of client products and manufacturing sites, managing the execution and completion of related environmental verification projects for existing and developing sustainable services. Assists with the analysis of project specifications - such as timelines, audit scope, and test/sample requirements - by reviewing client input, available supplemental data, and product or facility construction. Supports the development of new and existing programmes.
본 포지션은 엔지니어로서 고객사의 제품 및 사업장이 지닌 친환경 요소를 평가하고 검토하는 업무를 핵심으로 합니다 . 기존 서비스는 물론 새롭게 개발되는 지속가능 서비스와 관련된 환경 검증 프로젝트 전반을 관리하며 , 고객이 제공하는 자료와 제품 • 사업장 정보를 토대로 프로젝트 일정 , 심사 범위 , 시험 및 샘플 요건 등을 분석하는 역할도 함께 수행합니다 . 아울러 신규 프로그램 개발 업무도 지원합니다 .
RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and owns end-to-end project execution - communicating technical issues clearly, explaining UL Environment procedures and requirements, negotiating project plans, and resolving client concerns to keep projects on track.
2. Manages projects from start to finish: gathering necessary information from clients, coordinating testing with appropriate laboratories, liaising with Field Services or other auditors, and consulting with environmental experts - ultimately accountable for meeting and exceeding project milestones and client expectations.
3. Collaborates with clients and internal Environmental Project Handlers/Program Managers to ensure consistent methodology across projects, including product examination, review of manufacturing documentation, preparation of test information, evaluation of test results, and on-site audit checklists.
4. Develops and maintains project templates supporting programme development, implementation, and maintenance.
5. Follows the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and all physical/digital security practices; performs other duties as required.

2. 고객으로부터 필요한 정보를 확보하고 , 관련 시험기관과 일정을 조율하며 , 필드 심사팀 및 외부 심사원 , 환경 전문가와 긴밀히 협업하여 프로젝트를 진행합니다 . 프로젝트가 목표한 성과를 달성하고 고객의 기대 수준을 넘어설 수 있도록 이끄는 것이 핵심 책임입니다 .
3. 고객 , 그리고 사내 담당자 및 프로그램 매니저와 협력하여 일관된 검증 방법론이 적용되도록 관리합니다 . 여기에는 제품 검토 , 제조 관련 서류 확인 , 시험 자료 준비 , 시험 결과 평가 , 현장 심사용 체크리스트 작성 등이 포함됩니다 .
4. 프로그램의 개발과 운영 , 유지 • 보수를 뒷받침할 수 있는 업무 템플릿을 만들고 관리합니다 .
5. UL 행동강령을 숙지하고 준수하며 , 물리적 • 디지털 보안 수칙을 지킵니다 . 그 밖에 필요한 업무를 수행합니다 .

QUALIFICATIONS

• Educational Background (Required Major):
  University degree (Bachelor's) in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or other related technical field, or 4+ years of directly related work experience.
• Required Experience:
  Project management and direct client interface experience strongly preferred. Experience in client-facing consulting is also considered a valuable asset for this role.
• Required Industry Experience:
  Working experience with technical environmental concepts, such as test methods, chemicals, and material data. Knowledge or experience in one or a combination of the following areas is preferred:
• Sustainability Standards, Certifications & Life Cycle Assessment - Sustainability Standards and Environmental Claims, Life Cycle Analysis, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting or Verification (supports UL's EPD-related service capability), Mold Resistance
• Materials & Circularity - Recycled Content, Bio-based Materials, Rapidly Renewable Materials, Landfill Diversion / Zero Waste to Landfill
• Chemical & Indoor Environmental Quality - Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), Indoor Air Quality - chemical emissions
• Other Requirements:
  Business-level English proficiency required.

환경공학, 환경과학 또는 관련 기술 분야의 학사 학위를 보유하신 분, 혹은 이에 준하는 4년 이상의 관련 실무 경력을 보유하신 분을 우대합니다.
필요경력
프로젝트 관리 경험과 고객과의 직접적인 소통 경험이 있으신 분을 우대하며, 고객 대상 컨설팅 업무를 수행해 보신 분이라면 이 역할에서 특히 강점을 발휘하실 수 있습니다.
관련산업경험
시험 방법, 화학물질, 소재 데이터 등 환경 관련 기술 개념에 대한 실무 경험이 필요하며, 아래 분야에 대한 지식이나 경험을 보유하신 분을 우대합니다.

• 지속가능성표준• 인증및전과정평가: 지속가능성 표준 및 환경성 관련 주장, 전과정평가(LCA), 온실가스(GHG) 산정 또는 검증 경험(UL의 EPD 관련 업무 지원 역량으로 활용됨), 곰팡이 저항성
• 소재및순환성: 재활용 원료, 바이오 기반 소재, 급속 재생가능 소재, 매립 저감 및 제로 웨이스트
• 화학물질및실내환경품질: 유해물질제한(RoHS), 실내공기질(화학물질 배출)
