We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Technical Functional Analyst who can provide support in the execution of projects that include a technical component. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on functional analysis, system behavior definition, and technical collaboration within MetLife's technology landscape. The role translates business requirements into precise techno functional designs that can be implemented, tested, and operated reliably. Acting at the intersection of business, IT delivery, and vendors, the analyst ensures solutions are technically feasible, well-specified, and aligned with MetLife's New Frontier strategy by improving solution quality, reducing rework, and enabling predictable delivery.
Key Relationships:
Internal Stake Holder - EMEA ART Leader, ART Leadership team, India EMEA Technology AVP, and Business process Owners for EMEA Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather information and detailed requests regarding user requirements through discussions with stakeholders.
- Provide support for software applications by troubleshooting issues and implementing new functionalities.
- Lead technical discovery and requirements workshops focused on system behavior, data flows, integrations, and business rules.
- Create detailed, implementation-ready functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process definitions.
- Technical specification of APIs, integration patterns.
- Technical specification of data model from different database repositories.
- Create analysis documents, testing documentation, and user manuals.
- Ensure that effective risk management is integrated into daily activities, in accordance with MetLife policies, and escalate relevant topics to the manager or the risk function.
Education:
- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong experience as a Technical Analyst
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
- Ability to write clear functional and technical documentation
- Experience working with development teams, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Technical Stack:
- Main Skill: Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Excellent planning, leadership, and project control skills
• Knowledge on API testing tool like Postman.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Strong experience in functional specification writing including business rules, data mappings, and interface behaviour.
- Solid understanding of system integrations including REST APIs, web services, and message-based integration.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, and ServiceNow for requirements, testing, and incident management.
- Prior experience in Insurance domain.
