Role OverviewJoin Nasuni’s engineering team focused on validating the performance, scalability, and reliability of our cloud-native File Data Platform. As a Software Engineer, you will build and expand automated test coverage, contribute to shared tooling, and help ensure enterprise-grade quality across releases.
This role is ideal for engineers early in their careers who enjoy hands-on coding, debugging complex systems, and working closely with development teams to improve product quality. It is not a fit for candidates seeking fully independent system ownership or architecture leadership.
Level & Scope- Contributes to test automation, tools, and validation workflows with guidance
- Works within defined systems; limited decision authority on architecture
- Collaborates across Engineering, QA, and Product teams
- Focused on execution, learning, and incremental improvement
- Build and maintain automated tests using Python and PyTest
- Contribute to shared test frameworks, utilities, and internal tools
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases
- Analyze logs, metrics, and failures to identify root causes
- Reproduce issues, validate fixes, and improve test coverage
- Configure test environments (Linux, VMs, storage systems)
- Apply AI-assisted tools (e.g., debugging copilots, test generation tools) to improve productivity and test coverage
- Participate in design discussions to ensure testability of new features
- 2–4 years of experience in software engineering, QA automation, or similar (internships included if hands-on)
- Strong Python programming fundamentals
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest)
- Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools
- Basic understanding of CI/CD workflows (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar)
- Exposure to distributed systems or cloud environments
- Experience debugging system-level issues using logs/metrics
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with network file systems (SMB, NFS, CIFS)
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, test generation tools) in development workflows
