The Opportunity
The Product Owner, Correspondence & Digital is responsible for shaping the digital and correspondence experience across the full disability claim lifecycle-ensuring every interaction reflects clarity, empathy, and operational excellence.
As the face and voice of the disability product experience, you will influence how claimants, employers, and managers engage with our platform-reimagining communication journeys through AI, modern technology, and human-centered design. This role sits at the forefront of a rapidly transforming space, where disability and workforce health management are converging, and where innovation is redefining how we support people at critical moments in their lives.

Key Responsibilities
- Influence the end-to-end correspondence and digital strategy across the disability claim lifecycle, ensuring a seamless, compliant, and empathetic user experience
- Drive AI-enabled product development by translating business intent into validated requirements, rapidly prototyping, iterating, and refining solutions using modern tools
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, IT, and Operations to design, refine, and implement experience changes-from concept through production
- Own decision-making on requirements while actively partnering across stakeholders to balance regulatory compliance, brand integrity, and user experience at speed
- Drive cross-functional efforts and guide a team of contributors (7-8 individuals), fostering a strong team-first mindset and shared accountability for outcomes
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Disability, Leave, Group Benefits, or related product/operations roles (or equivalent combination of experience)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements (e.g., STD, LTD, FMLA, state leave programs) within communications or product decisions
- Experience leveraging technology and/or AI tools to enhance product delivery, decision-making, or customer experience
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams, influence without authority, and contribute to a high-performing, team-oriented culture
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in claims, disability & absence management, or IT support within the Group Benefits space
- Exposure to AI-enabled platforms or experience working in agile, product-led environments
- Familiarity with correspondence systems, claims platforms, or workflow tools (e.g., FINEOS, Quadient, or similar)
- Six Sigma or process improvement experience
- Demonstrated curiosity, learning agility, and ability to thoughtfully challenge and improve existing ways of working
The expected salary range for this position is $93,200 - $120,000 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
