Manager, Commercial Initiatives & Partnerships 

Job Summary 

The Manager, Commercial Initiatives & Partnerships supports the development and execution of enterprise commercial initiatives with a focus on partnership identification, opportunity evaluation, and operational coordination. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Commercial Initiatives, this role helps translate strategic direction into organized execution by identifying prospective partners, conducting initial opportunity assessments, and coordinating cross-functional workstreams associated with partnership initiatives. 

This role is ideal for a highly organized, analytical, and proactive professional who enjoys supporting new business opportunities through structured research, disciplined project management, and strong stakeholder coordination. 

What You’ll Do    

Partnership Identification & Targeting 

  • Research and identify prospective commercial partners based on predetermined targeting parameters and strategic priorities established by commercial leadership. 
  • Develop and maintain prospect lists and market scans that surface organizations aligned with partnership criteria. 
  • Conduct background research on target partners including market presence, capabilities, potential strategic fit, and commercial relevance. 

Opportunity Screening & Initial Evaluation 

  • Conduct first-pass evaluation of partnership opportunities using defined screening criteria including strategic alignment, potential value, operational feasibility, and market relevance. 
  • Prepare structured summaries and briefing materials that support leadership evaluation and decision-making. 
  • Maintain documentation of opportunities assessed, including evaluation outcomes and next-step recommendations. 

Partnership Project Coordination 

  • Coordinate and manage the operational aspects of partnership-related initiatives once opportunities move forward. 
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder responsibilities across internal teams. 
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment between sales, marketing, operations, and other internal stakeholders involved in partnership initiatives. 

Partner Account Management 

  • Serve as the day-to-day coordinator for an assigned book of commercial partners. 
  • Support relationship management activities including meeting coordination, preparation of materials, follow-up actions, and internal communication. 
  • Monitor ongoing partnership initiatives to ensure progress against defined objectives. 

Data, Reporting & Initiative Tracking 

  • Maintain dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools used to monitor partnership pipelines and initiative progress. 
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on partnership activity, project status, and opportunity pipeline. 
  • Support documentation, communication, and governance processes to ensure transparency and organization across initiatives. 

Support Advisory Activities 

  • Assist in identifying and coordinating advisory relationships relevant to key markets or partnership initiatives. 
  • Support preparation of advisory discussions and documentation of insights gathered. 

 

What We Need    

  • 4–7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, project management, commercial operations, or related roles 
  • Experience conducting market research, opportunity assessment, or partnership evaluation 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills 
  • Analytical mindset with ability to structure information and summarize insights clearly 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives or projects

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 
  • Ownership & reliability – A dependable contributor who takes responsibility for assigned workstreams and consistently follows through on commitments. 
  • Structured thinker – Approaches opportunities and projects with organization, discipline, and attention to detail. 
  • Proactive contributor – Comfortable identifying gaps, asking questions, and moving work forward without needing constant direction. 
  • Strong collaborator – Works effectively across teams to coordinate projects and maintain alignment among stakeholders. 
  • Execution-focused – Enjoys managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while ensuring projects stay organized and on track.

Base Salary Band: $75,000-$148,000

Compensation: At PatientPoint, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including skills, qualifications, geographic location, and professional experience, which can cause your compensation to vary. The base salary range listed is just one component of PatientPoint’s total compensation package for employees.
