JOB DESCRIPTION
Although the role is based at our Italian office, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring accurate product classification and compliance with international trade regulations, supporting our prestigious Customers to access global markets.
Complete comprehensive research and analysis of Harmonized System (HS) codes and global customs requirements under general supervision and mentorship. Provide classification guidance, global regulatory updates, research monitoring, and document management within regulatory databases. Support interpretation of requirements to prepare executive summary reports on changes and their impact to customers and business.
Under general supervision and guidance, act as point of contact with customs authorities and UL partners to obtain and maintain necessary knowledge and regulatory requirements to support research and delivery projects. Contribute to identifying new business opportunities by working directly with internal teams and customers to ensure accurate product classification and compliance with international trade regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Key expert contact for compliance requirements required to access to specific countries and/or programs.
  • Provide point-of-access support to address any local acceptance issues.
  • Track regulatory trends and communicate upcoming regulatory changes.
  • Identify business opportunity and translate them in a simple manner to stakeholders from COU.
  • Coordinate research/studies including multiple products, regulations, countries independently.
  • Supports actions related to GMA business expansion scope, track opportunity and business results from COUs.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Maintain expertise and provide guidance on:
    • HS Code classification principles
    • Customs regulations and trade compliance
    • Import/export documentation requirements
    • Regional and international trade agreements

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the TIC business and the industries in which the business functions.
  • Able to connect the regulation rules with customer needs and business opportunities.
  • Natural influencing skills, confident and be able to deliver the message.
  • Ability to network and build relationship with internal and external stakeholders and lead/facilitate collaboration toward a common goal.
  • Able to deal in the ambiguity and take decisions, support customer in understanding their problem and provide valid solutions based on their knowledge schemes and past experiences.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable for a certain geographic area, specific areas of regulations.
  • Excellent in communication, able to summarize requirements and describe with easy word difficult concept, network builder.
  • Bachelors Degree Engineering, International Relations, or other specialization based on the specific coverage, preferred.

What we offer:
We understand that remuneration and benefits are important when deciding on your next career move. The annual salary range for this position is EUR 31.200 - 41.500 gross, determined by numerous factors, including knowledge, skills, and experience (Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA): Commerce Sector - Job Classification Level: Level 3 ). This position also offers an annual bonus of up to 10% of annual salary. We also offer 21 vacation days, lunch voucher (10€ per working day),Voluntary Individual Pension Plan, Fiscal Assistance, access to the ULS University learning platform to support your development and learning, two additional days off for volunteering, and flexible working to support your work-life balance.
