Role overview
Nasuni is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team supporting Central US. This is an early-career, quota-carrying closing role designed for a high-performing SDR, BDR, or inside sales professional who is ready to move from creating opportunities to owning and closing them.
In this role, you will manage a defined book of commercial accounts or assigned territory, generate new business pipeline, qualify customer needs, lead discovery conversations, deliver tailored product presentations, and close lower-complexity opportunities with coaching from senior sales leadership. You will work closely with Sales Development, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Partner teams, and Sales leadership to build pipeline and advance opportunities with discipline and urgency.
This role is for someone who has already proven they can prospect, handle objections, use sales tools consistently, and create quality meetings. It is not designed for someone who already requires enterprise-level deal ownership or expects a fully independent senior AE scope on day one.
Level and scope definition
You will own day-to-day execution across a defined account set while operating within established sales plays, qualification standards, pricing guidance, and coaching rhythms. You will be expected to make sound decisions on prioritization, outreach strategy, discovery quality, next steps, and CRM accuracy, while escalating complex deal strategy, technical validation, commercial negotiation, or executive alignment needs appropriately.
Success requires strong execution, coachability, customer curiosity, and the ability to turn account research into relevant business conversations.
Responsibilities
- Manage guided full-cycle sales motions from prospecting and qualification through close for assigned commercial accounts or territories.
- Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound follow-up, event follow-up, partner leads, and targeted account-based outreach.
- Lead discovery calls to uncover business pain, current file data challenges, stakeholder priorities, timing, and decision process.
- Deliver tailored Nasuni value conversations and product demonstrations in partnership with Solutions Engineering when needed.
- Build multi-threaded relationships with prospects and connect Nasuni’s value to business initiatives such as cloud modernization, ransomware resilience, distributed work, cost optimization, and AI-ready data infrastructure.
- Use AI-enabled research, drafting, call preparation, and workflow tools responsibly to improve account planning, personalization, follow-up quality, and sales productivity.
- Maintain accurate activity, opportunity, next-step, and forecast data in Salesforce.
- Participate actively in coaching, call reviews, sales training, and development plans to progress toward broader AE ownership.
Expected outcomes and impact
Within the role, you will be expected to create quality pipeline, convert qualified opportunities, close assigned commercial deals, maintain disciplined forecast hygiene, and demonstrate readiness for increased territory and deal complexity over time.
Qualifications
Must-have qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in SDR, BDR, inside sales, sales development, or early-career account executive roles in B2B technology.
- Demonstrated success prospecting into business or IT stakeholders and converting outreach into qualified meetings or opportunities.
- Experience using Salesforce and sales engagement tools such as SalesLoft, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to run structured discovery and deliver relevant customer follow-up.
- Coachability, resilience, strong prioritization, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth sales environment.
- Ability to use AI tools with good judgment to improve productivity while validating accuracy and protecting customer and company information.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience selling or prospecting for SaaS, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, storage, backup, data management, or enterprise IT solutions.
- Exposure to full-cycle sales activities such as discovery, demo coordination, proposal support, negotiation support, or closing lower-complexity deals.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding ramped quota, activity, pipeline, or opportunity-creation targets.
- Experience working with Solutions Engineers, channel partners, marketing teams, or senior sellers on account strategy.
Ideal qualifications
- Prior success as a senior SDR, top-performing BDR, associate AE, inside sales representative, or commercial sales trainee.
- Ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and translate technical value into business impact.
- Curiosity about cloud, AI-ready data, ransomware resilience, and enterprise file data challenges.
Experience guidelines
Typical range: 1–3 years of professional sales experience, including at least 1 year in SDR, BDR, inside sales, or comparable B2B technology prospecting. Equivalent internal performance, quota attainment, or sales-readiness milestones may be considered.
