Position Summary
The Workiva COE Director - Data & Reporting Platforms will have a key role in leading strategy and operations for Data Connectivity, Integration, and Reporting within the Workiva COE, building a governed, scalable data and reporting ecosystem anchored on Workiva.
The role will drive end-to-end design, governance, and execution of Workiva-enabled reporting across US GAAP/SEC, Statutory, IFRS, Solvency II, JGAAP, and other frameworks, ensuring consistent, controlled, and audit-ready data flows across workspaces.
Leading a team of managers, the Director will oversee data pipelines, integrations, reporting functionality, and user enablement, while partnering with Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Technology and other teams globally.
The position will also shape and execute the COE strategy, operating model, and roadmap to expand Workiva adoption, standardize reporting, and enable automation and AI-driven capabilities across the enterprise.
Job Responsibilities
- Will be a key leader to support the Workiva COE strategy, operating model, and execution across Data Connectivity, Integration, and Functionality, driving enterprise-wide alignment and outcomes.
- Define and implement scalable governance frameworks, standards, KPIs, and data architecture (leveraging Workiva Wdata and enterprise platforms) to enable adoption, efficiency, and high-quality data.
- Develop a multi-year roadmap and define KPIs for adoption, data quality, efficiency, and reporting cycle improvement
- Standardize and oversee reusable, governed datasets and data models, ensuring accurate, consistent, and audit-ready reporting across SEC/GAAP, statutory, IFRS, Solvency II, JGAAP, and management reporting.
- Drive end-to-end data ecosystem delivery including using Workiva connectors, APIs, Chains, and Data Prep, pipelines, integrations, ingestion frameworks, and transformation processes, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing data environments.
- Establish enterprise data governance, quality, lineage, and audit compliance, while expanding platform capabilities through automation/AI and leading high-performing teams with strong cross-functional partnerships (Finance, Risk, Actuarial, Technology).
Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement

Bachelor's degree in any stream (e.g., Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields)
Experience

- 12+ years of experience in financial reporting, finance transformation, or consulting, with strong exposure to SEC/GAAP, statutory, and/or international reporting frameworks.
Technical Skills
- Extensive experience with Workiva (Wdata, reporting, linking, workflows) and enterprise data/reporting architectures, including cross-workspace data and integrations
- Strong expertise in data integration & architecture (ETL, modeling) with experience integrating ERP (like workday)/GL, subledgers, data warehouses/lakes, APIs, and cloud platforms
- Proven ability to design and scale centralized data architectures (data warehouses/hubs) for multi-entity, multi-regulatory reporting, with strong governance, lineage, and control frameworks (e.g., SOX)
- Demonstrated leadership in global finance transformation, COE setup, and multi-region platform deployments, including automation and AI-enabled solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience leading high-performing global teams; deep domain knowledge in insurance/financial services reporting (SEC/GAAP, STAT, IFRS, Solvency II) and a results-driven mindset
