Role Value Proposition
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes administration, Helm chart development, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
This role requires hands-on experience in container orchestration, infrastructure automation, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and DevOps best practices to support modern application delivery and platform engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters for scalable and secure application hosting.
- Develop, customize, maintain, and optimize Helm Charts for microservices and platform components.
- Build, implement, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Create and maintain Kubernetes resource definitions using YAML, including Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, RBAC, and Network Policies.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and container registries such as Azure Container Registry (ACR) and GitHub Packages.
- Implement automated deployment strategies and release management processes.
- Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools.
- Ensure platform security through RBAC, Secret Management, Network Security Policies, and Azure security best practices.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, Cloud Engineering, and Platform teams to ensure seamless software delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes workloads, cluster performance, networking, storage, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Continuously evaluate and implement DevOps best practices to improve deployment reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Azure certifications such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) (Preferred)
Technical Skills
Cloud & Containerization
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Expertise in Docker containerization and image optimization.
- Experience managing container registries such as Azure Container Registry (ACR).
Kubernetes & Helm
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and core concepts:
- Strong expertise in Helm Chart development, templating, packaging, and deployment.
CI/CD & Automation
- Extensive experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions.
- Strong command of YAML scripting for pipeline automation and Kubernetes deployments.
- Experience implementing automated build, test, deployment, and release workflows.
Monitoring & Observability
- Hands-on experience with:
- Ability to implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting strategies.
Version Control & Collaboration
- Strong proficiency in Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and code review processes.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
Troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and debugging skills for:
Good to Have
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Bicep.
- Experience with Istio and service mesh implementations.
- Knowledge of vCluster environments.
- Experience with Azure Function Apps and serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with container and Kubernetes security tools such as:
