POSITION SUMMARY
The Communications Manager supports the development and implementation of Bedrock's communication strategy aligned with business goals. Responsibilities include drafting communications plans, messaging, talking points, press releases, media advisories and pitches to inform, engage and secure earned media coverage. The Manager is proactive, focused and organized with the ability to drive media relations campaigns and other communications initiatives including but not limited to media monitoring and reporting, award submissions, speaking engagements, PR event planning and execution and more.
ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS
  • Develop and manage communications plans for Bedrock projects, initiatives and milestones.
  • Create, edit and distribute impactful written content including press releases, pitches and narratives that further define and build upon Bedrock's mission and vision; develop media kit materials that are aligned with and incorporate approved messaging.
  • Conduct media outreach to secure ongoing, positive earned press coverage.
  • Cultivate media relationships to ensure consistent engagement with relevant local, regional and national media.
  • Develop messaging, talking points and/or media statements, as needed.
  • Lead planning, execution and promotion of PR events; provide on-site management at PR events or company engagements, as required.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to identify and align project priorities and strategies.
  • Compile reporting and provide analysis of Bedrock coverage based on key communication metrics; monitor and distribute Bedrock related media coverage.
  • Generate award submissions.
  • Vet and coordinate speaking engagements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field or equivalent education, training and experience
  • 5-10 years of public relations or related experience, ideally within commercial real estate or development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Desire to work both independently and collaboratively

WORK ENVIORMENT
  • Bedrock is an in-person, five-day-a-week workplace. All team members are expected to work onsite Monday through Friday during standard business hours, unless otherwise specified by their role or designated shift.
  • Some roles may have flexibility to work remotely on Fridays, based on the nature of the work and business needs. This flexibility is granted at the discretion of the Company and may be adjusted at any time.
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use; occasional movement between buildings; ability to lift up to 15 lbs. Occasionally.
