- Review and approve Controlled Goods regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Office (CPSO) under the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations, as well as other certification schemes operated by UL Solutions.
- Manages and implements projects of moderate complexity.
- Provides leadership and support to team members in support of the operation of certification programs.
- Interfaces with business unit stakeholders to ensure that certification programs meet customer and internal stakeholder needs and expectations.
- May lead teams to continuously improve and drive quality into UL's services to internal and external customers.
- Supports Program/Scheme owner in the operation and enhancements of certification schemes.
- Supports program escalations.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, International Relations, or another relevant discipline preferred, depending on program coverage.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry and the sectors it supports.
- Solid understanding of certification scheme operations and the ability to align regulatory requirements with business and customer needs.
- Experience and knowledge within specific geographic regions and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong influencing skills with the confidence to communicate messages clearly and effectively.
- Ability to build networks and establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven capability to lead and facilitate collaboration toward shared objectives.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, making sound decisions, and supporting customers in problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize requirements and explain complex concepts in a clear, concise manner.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
