The Opportunity
MetLife is seeking an Associate Engineer's role to support the growing focus on speed and discipline to deliver on the New Frontier Strategy and deliver highly impactful and engaging digital experiences for our customers, which will generate strong and enduring relationships aligned with the MetLife brand. This role involves managing and delivering solutions for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) applications using automation.
This hands-on technology role supports existing ECM platforms by developing innovative solutions and modernizing, stabilizing, and expanding the platform. You will collaborate with IT partners and business teams to provide technical support, with responsibilities including solution design, automation, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement ECM solutions in collaboration with engineering and application teams.
- Promote and apply automation to design, support, and maintain configuration management and orchestration for integration platforms using Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Azure Pipelines, and Linux shell scripting.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, recommend, implement, and maintain document-generation solutions across multiple technologies.
- Develop automation that reduces manual effort and improves the efficiency, performance, and stability of application platforms.
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Learn and evaluate emerging technologies and tools, including automation and artificial intelligence, and implement solutions in collaboration with senior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Understanding of OpenShift, Apache Web Server, and related technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, including Linux Shell and/or PowerShell.
- Experience with or familiarity with infrastructure-automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Understanding of AI/ LLM
- Knowledge of or experience with Agile methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering solutions for application platforms and infrastructure.
- Hands-on installation, configuration, and administration of ECM production environments, including FileNet and CP4BA.
- The one or more of the following:
- AppDynamics, Splunk, or Elastic
- AKS, Azure, or Docker
- OpenShift Container Platform

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $55,800 - $74,300 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
