Frequently Asked Questions

Base Pay & Bonuses

Fora benchmarks every role against structured, level-based pay bands informed by current market data, and we regularly audit open roles to make sure compensation stays aligned with those bands as the market moves.

For engineering specifically, we go a step further with a transparent pay structure: every level has a defined, known compensation, so employees can see exactly what each level pays and what it takes to grow into the next one.

For some roles, base pay is paired with performance-based bonus programs tied to clear, individually agreed-upon goals that ladder up to company OKRs, so bonus payouts are tied to real, measurable impact rather than guesswork. Many new hires also get a scheduled compensation and title check-in within their first few months on the job.

The proof shows up externally too: Fora was named one of Built In's 2026 Best Midsize Places to Work in New York City, an honor determined in part by compensation and benefits data submitted directly by employees.

Perks & Benefits

Fora's benefits are built to cover the big things and the everyday things. On the big-ticket side: medical, dental, and vision coverage, an FSA, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) with company match, equity for eligible employees and unlimited PTO plus three weeks a year to work from anywhere, generous parental and family leave, childcare benefits, and commuter benefits.

On the day-to-day side: employees get free daily snacks and a weekly catered lunch, onsite gym access, a Wellhub subscription covering thousands of gyms and wellness apps, employee resource groups and recreational clubs, professional development support (certifications, conferences, lunch-and-learns), peer recognition through Lattice, and Fora's own advisor portal and travel perks.

Equity and Stock

Yes —  employees receive stock option grants (Incentive Stock Options) as part of their offer, vesting over four years with a one-year cliff, in addition to base pay and benefits like 401(k) matching. Fora provides dedicated education so employees understand how their equity works and what it could be worth over time.

Given Fora's growth—from Series B/C funding to a $60M Series D at a $1 billion valuation in mid-2026, backed by investors including Thrive Capital, Insight Partners, and Forerunner—equity represents a meaningful, real ownership stake in a fast-growing, well-capitalized company, not just a symbolic perk.

What People Are Saying About Fora

  • Healthcare Strength: Core coverage for HQ employees includes medical, dental and vision insurance, alongside life and disability insurance. Wellness add‑ons like Wellhub and commuter benefits reinforce a solid health benefits package.
  • Leave & Time Off Breadth: Time off is described as unlimited PTO with paid holidays and a “work from anywhere” allowance for three weeks per year. This signals generous flexibility around time away from work.
  • Pay Growth & Progression: Advisor compensation has clear tiers: a 70/30 split to start, moving to 80/20 at $300k in calendar‑year sales and up to 90/10 at $2M+. Higher tiers also unlock added program benefits such as FAM eligibility, TA rates, and lead programs.
