Lead corporate tax function for a publicly traded aerospace and defense company: manage ASC 740 income tax provisions and SEC reporting, federal/state/international compliance, transfer pricing, R&D incentives, FAR/CAS-related tax treatment, SOX controls, external advisors and audits, tax planning for M&A and cross-border operations, and present tax risk to executives and Audit Committee.

Lead month-end close activities, reconcile balance sheet accounts, manage billing, receivables and collections, supervise and mentor accounting staff, prepare journal entries and workpapers, support revenue recognition, AP, cash management, audits, SEC filings, and implement internal controls and process improvements.

Lead financial controllership and commercial finance for North America FIT businesses. Partner with CEO and leadership on budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, profitability analysis, and strategic decision-making. Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, audit, tax, treasury, controls, and process improvements. Manage and develop finance team and collaborate with shared services and global finance.

Manage the full lifecycle of project accounting: project setup in ERP, determine revenue recognition, prepare billings and customer invoices, reconcile project balance sheet and income statements monthly, coordinate reporting with project controls, assist AR/AP and PO-based payables, and ensure timely month-end and project close-out.

Process and reconcile client payments for DSS/HRA/DHS, including credit card, check, and remote deposits; operate POS/IVRS; prepare batches in DARB; use MS Excel, WMS, HRA One Viewer and MICSA Pay-In; oversee cashier window; respond to client inquiries and support special reimbursement projects.

Hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations: manage AR/AP, payroll entries, GL integrity, month-end/year-end close, financial statements, budgeting/forecasting, cash flow, ERP optimization (Sage preferred), tax and audit coordination with CPAs, implement internal controls, mentor accounting staff, and provide strategic financial insights to ownership.

Partner with operations to provide financial controlling for production sites, lead budgeting/forecasting, manage cost competitiveness, reporting, inventory and working capital, ensure compliance with accounting standards and support global management reporting.
