As the Associate Financial Analyst, Commercial, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Financial Reporting and Management Planning and Control systems. 

Responsibilities
  • Heavy interactions with Accounting, Controller Group and IT departments. 
  • Develops and implements financial reporting for Senior Management, including period end financial results, store profit and loss statements, latest estimate / operating plan financial statements, ad-hoc analyses and trends affecting AutoZone operations.
  • Additionally responsible for maintaining a robust budgeting / planning system for the company and providing end user training and support.
  • Exposure to financial reporting systems such as PeopleSoft or any ERP systems and budgeting /planning software applications are preferred. 
  • Responsible for maintaining FP & R timelines and written procedures for period close, quarter close and planning cycles throughout the year
  • Cross train with other members of the FP & R team on critical report processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
  • 1 -2 years financial reporting or analysis experience required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point skills are required
  • Knowledge of accounting systems such as People Soft, SQL and Microsoft Access are preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
