We are looking for a Controller, Production for US Consumable Operations within Waukesha, Beloit and Atlanta. This position reports to “Director, Finance, Consumables” and will be based in Waukesha, WI. Our production facilities are moving to the next level as part of Valmet Global Supply organization, and as a financial partner, you will proactively collaborate with numerous global stakeholders and local managements to ensure the financial competitiveness of the facilities.
In this position, you will be required to:
Partner with the Operations management team to provide financial expertise and policy guidance to support operations.
Support business decisions through operational analysis, including business performance measures & KPIs.
Coach business with finance related topics.
Lead forecasting & budgeting process in Operations. Manage the development of production operation units' budgets and follow-up.
Prepare monthly reporting according to recently created Global Supply organization’s management system.
Drive cost competitiveness in production.
Drive global management reporting structures & report development at Waukesha, Beloit and Atlanta operations.
Assume responsibility for operation cost elements: capacity cost, capacity utilization, hourly rates, absorption.
Manage controlling inventory, investments, work in progress, fixed assets, Net Working Capital.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting practices, rules, and regulations (SOX, IAS / IFRS, USGaap, etc.) and corporate governance practices.
Adhere to Valmet’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures.
Adhere to Valmet’s Values, Business principles and Code of conduct.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Degree in Finance or Economics
Experience: 4-7 years of financial management, business controlling, cost accounting in an international environment
Experience in product and project manufacturing financial management and ERP system
Ability to speak and write in English
Advanced Excel, Microsoft 365
Understanding of the latest BI tool
Willingness to travel between production sites.
Ability to work in a versatile role containing development of new demands and ways of working and take responsibility for routines.
Ability to collaborate, work proactively, and be result oriented.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
