The Major Gifts Officer leads California fundraising strategy and manages a portfolio of high-capacity donors, corporate leaders, family foundations, and institutional partners. Responsibilities include securing major and principal gifts, cultivating prospects, developing pipelines, forecasting revenue, managing CRM activity, coordinating with development and national campaigns, attending philanthropic and civic events, and representing the organization. Work directly with the Chief of Staff and leadership to define and lead high-impact strategic initiatives end-to-end. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses (CLV, cohort, pricing, forecasting), develop recommendations and implementation plans, and drive execution across commercial, product, retention, pricing, channel, and organizational scaling priorities.
