Design and develop gearbox housings, covers and related components for prototype and serial production. Create detailed CAD models, drawings, tolerance calculations, interpret casting simulation and CAE results, coordinate with suppliers and project teams, support testing and evaluate test results, and manage change/FMEA and manufacturing-related interfaces.

Design, integrate and validate hydraulic components and subsystems (pumps, coolers, filters, valves). Perform 3D/2D design, materials selection, FMEA, calculations and simulation support. Coordinate with plants, suppliers and customers, manage changes and support prototype testing and evaluation.

Create and edit 3D CATIA surface and solid models; produce main and sub-assembly and installation drawings; perform virtual build-ups, 1D tolerance stack-ups, and ballooned drawings; generate BOMs from CATIA and track requirements; participate in DFMEA/PFMEA, risk and concern management; pre-fill design review documents and check preferred parts/processes.

Design and develop automotive gearbox architectures for eDrive and AWD/4WD systems. Define subsystem requirements (parklock, decoupler, eLSD, clutches, sensors), address lubrication, NVH, durability, EMC, thermal management, and efficiency simulations. Lead DVP, test management and measurement activities, ensure compliance with automotive standards and safety (IATF16949, ISO26262, ASPICE), and support requirements and risk management.

Unsolicited application for engineering roles at Magna Powertrain St. Valentin: participate in development of eDrive, gearbox, vehicle and powertrain systems; work across electronics, software, simulation, testing, PLM/SAP and system engineering using extensive laboratory and HIL test infrastructure.

Plan, implement, and support total quality programs for automotive mechatronics, mirrors and lighting. Design quality control systems, investigate and resolve manufacturing and supplier issues, lead continuous improvement, manage project costs/schedules, and coordinate internal and external resources. May supervise staff and use formal problem-solving tools to improve processes and product quality.

Lead process development, production start-up, and production support for automotive components. Implement engineering changes and process improvements, troubleshoot and repair systems, and ensure environmental aspects of production are addressed.

Lead implementation of quality systems and continuous improvement in automotive electronics manufacturing: develop APQP/PPAP deliverables, perform SPC and capability studies, drive root-cause analysis, support audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yield and reduce scrap.
