Engineer Gearbox Architecture

Job Introduction:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer specializing in Transmission Systems (Hybrids and eDrives), with a focus on the design and development of Gearbox for automotive applications. The ideal applicant should have an extensive knowledge of Gearbox and its complete architecture.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Good knowledge on Gearbox Architecture of eDrive, AWD/4WD.

  • Understanding on Sub modules like Parklock, Decoupler, eLSD, Shift Unit, Clutches, Oil Pumps, Sensors and Actuators

  • Understanding of Lubrication/Cooling, NVH, Durability/Reliability, EMC, Thermal Management

  • DVP , Test-Management, Measurement technology of Gearbox

  • System level understanding of eDrive, AWD/4WD.

  • Understanding on Driving Dynamics.

  • Know how o the efficiency calculation and functional simulation

Skills and competencies:

  • Engineering Processes IATF 16949; PPAP / VDA2; APQP / VDA 4.3

  • Problem Solving Methods

  • Automotive Spice (ASPICE). Knowledge base for ISO 15504 (SPICE)

  • Functional Safety ISO 26262

  • FMEA

  • Requirements Engineering and Requirements Management

  • Intellectual Properties (IP)

  • Risk Identification

Educational Qualifications:

Well-founded technical education (university degree) in one of the following disciplines - Mechanical / electrical / automotive / control engineering or mechatronics

Work experience:

3-8 years of professional experience working in the relevant field.

Tools knowledge:

  • Requirement Engineering tool (iALM PTC-Windchill)

  • Doors NG

  • Matlab

  • Simcenter Amesim (Optional)

Skills Required

  • University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Control Engineering, or Mechatronics
  • 3-8 years professional experience in transmission/gearbox or eDrive development
  • Experience with gearbox architecture for eDrive and AWD/4WD systems
  • Knowledge of submodules: Parklock, Decoupler, eLSD, Shift Unit, Clutches, Oil Pumps, Sensors, Actuators
