Engineer Clutch & Decoupling

Job Introduction:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Transmission Systems (Hybrids and eDrives), with a focus on the design and development of Gearbox for automotive applications. The ideal applicant should have an extensive knowledge of Catia V5 with in depth

understanding on Gearbox and components like Clutches, Parklock, Shift System etc.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Design (3D, 2D, materials, ...)
  • Drawings - Create and update drawings for change management and new design
  • Calculation & Simulation - Calculations performed by component engineers
  • Plant & Supplier - Collaboration in terms of manufacturing process and deviations, quality and robustness

Skills and competencies:

  • Modify drawings according to instructions
  • Derive drawings from existing designs in CAD.
  • Create and implement design concepts in CAD
  • Deep and comprehensive understanding of the function of wet clutches and wet dual clutches in terms of specification, manufacturing and assembly details. Example of a work item is deviations, quality, robustness ...
  • Perform calculations related to strength, fatigue, robustness and tolerance analysis

Educational Qualifications:

University degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or similar domain with a specialization in mechanical or electrical systems.

Work experience:

3-8 years of professional experience working in the relevant field.

Tools knowledge:

  • Catia
  • MS-Office, Excel, PPT
  • Simulation tool for strength calculation (e.g. Kissoft)
  • SAP/PLM

Skills Required

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or similar
  • 3-8 years professional experience in relevant field (transmission/gearbox)
  • Proficient in CATIA V5 (CAD 3D/2D design)
  • Deep understanding of wet clutches and wet dual clutches (specification, manufacturing, assembly)
  • Ability to create, modify, and derive engineering drawings in CAD
  • Experience performing calculations for strength, fatigue, robustness, and tolerance analysis
