Job Description:

   

HPE Global Event team is looking for an Event Program Manager who will be responsible for the comprehensive management of HPE’s Tier 1 strategic events, ensuring flawless execution and alignment with the company’s marketing and business objectives. This role demands an experienced event professional with extensive expertise in planning and managing large-scale, high-profile events, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse functions and regions.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Event Planning and Strategy: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies that align with HPE’s marketing and business objectives. 

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define event goals, themes, and key performance indicators (KPIs). 

  • Create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for each event.  

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices in event management. 

Event Execution: 

  • Program manage cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product management, and external partners, to ensure successful event execution.  

  • Implement contingency plans to address potential challenges or disruptions.  

  • Ensure seamless integration of all event elements, such as registration, agenda, speaker coordination, technology requirements, and branding.  

  • Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, vendor management, travel arrangements, and on-site coordination. 

Stakeholder Management: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding event-related matters. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and attendees. 

  • Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns that drive event awareness and participation. 

Performance Measurement and Reporting: 

  • Monitor and analyze event performance metrics to assess success and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Prepare post-event reports, including attendee feedback, financial analysis, and recommendations for future events. 

  • Utilize data and insights to refine event strategies and enhance overall event quality and impact. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • 5 years of experience in managing high-profile events

  • Proficiency in software and tools such as SharePoint, MS Office, etc 

  • Flexibility to travel internationally as required. 

Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Strong project and budget management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

  • Proven track record of successful event planning and execution. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.  

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making. 

  • Ability to build, manage and influence virtual teams. 

  • Excellent negotiating skills. 

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines. 

  • Strong influencing and consensus-building skills. 

  • Conflict resolution skills.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $101,900.00 - $234,500.00
