Team Overview
The OneTru Core Platform Engineering team builds and operates the core services, frameworks, infrastructure, and platform capabilities that power the OneTru ecosystem and enable secure, scalable, and reliable products. By partnering with architecture, product, engineering, and operations stakeholders, the team helps improve service delivery and operational resilience while giving engineers opportunities to solve complex enterprise-scale challenges using cloud-native technologies. This position reports to the Director, Software Development. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-based enterprise applications and shared platform capabilities that support the OneTru ecosystem.
Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Translate business requirements and data models into scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing application designs and technical solutions.
Develop maintainable, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code that complies with established architecture, security, quality, and operational standards.
Design and develop shared services, frameworks, application programming interfaces (APIs), and infrastructure components used across OneTru products.
Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design reviews, mentoring, pair programming, and the promotion of software engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot complex issues across systems and technologies, supporting incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvements.
Partner with solution architects, system architects, product teams, platform engineers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to integrate internal and third-party services.
Improve platform scalability, performance, reliability, observability, availability, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
Participate in technical roadmap discussions, deployment and release activities, and an on-call rotation supporting business-critical platform services
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Five or more years of professional software development experience in enterprise environments, applying strong engineering fundamentals to complex technical challenges.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in place of a degree.
Experience working across the software development lifecycle and independently analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues.
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and conduct effective code and design reviews.
Advanced English proficiency, including speaking, reading, and writing, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Java and experience developing enterprise applications.
Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and RESTful application programming interfaces (APIs).
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), cloud-native services, and cloud-native architectures.
Experience using Git and modern version-control practices.
Experience working with relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL).
Experience with Scala, JavaScript, Python, Bash, NoSQL databases, or modern web application and user-interface development.
Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing, and configuration management.
Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native microservices, or large-scale data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or MapReduce.
Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), observability, monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, high availability, and disaster recovery practices.
Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, cloud infrastructure automation, or relevant Google Cloud professional certifications.
