Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the enterprise Learning & Development (L&D) function for Lowe's. This leader will partner with business and HR leadership to understand learning needs that translate into a robust L&D strategy that delivers learning solutions across all areas of the business. This includes Store Support Center (Corporate and Technology), Stores, Supply Chain, Pro and Home Services, and Contact Centers. The role leads L&D associates located in both the United States and India, ensuring alignment, consistency, and scalability of learning solutions.
This role collaborates closely with business and HR leaders to identify capability and skill gaps, development priorities, and required outcomes that directly support evolving business strategies and objectives. It is critical that this role can quickly recognize development needs and design learning solutions that close skill gaps and enable associate and business success.
This role is responsible for the enterprise learning strategy in partnership with the VP Talent and the end-to-end lifecycle of learning programs, including needs assessment, design, development, delivery, and measurement. The role has responsibility for Lowe's University learning delivery, including Store Support Center training and onboarding, leadership development programs (including Foundations of Leadership), Store Hourly and Pro training delivered by Senior Master Trainers, and Supply Chain training programs.
The role owns and manages all Learning & Development vendor relationships, ensuring alignment to Lowe's strategy, quality standards, and return on investment. The role also leads the learning demand planning cycle in partnership with business leaders to ensure learning solutions are prioritized and resourced appropriately.
This role is responsible for the development and leadership of a global team located in the U.S. and India that is comprised of learning professionals, establishing governance, standards, and best practices to ensure learning programs meet or exceed performance objectives, HR requirements, and business outcomes. The role ensures learning initiatives are integrated across field and corporate functions and align with Lowe's business strategies, policies, and operational environment.
What You Will Do
  • Lead the enterprise Learning & Development (L&D) function, with associates located in the United States and India, setting strategy, governance, and delivery across corporate and technology, stores, supply chain, Pro and Home Services, and contact centers.
  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of enterprise learning solutions, leveraging in-person, virtual, digital, self-service, and AI-enabled tools to drive scale, quality, and personalization.
  • Own Lowe's University learning delivery, including SSC training and onboarding, leadership development (including Foundations of Leadership), Store Hourly and Pro training delivered by Senior Master Trainers, and Supply Chain training programs.
  • Partner with business leaders, the Talent Management team, and HR Business Partners to identify performance, capability, and skill gaps, translating business priorities into targeted learning solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Identify and deliver development solutions through training programs, AI-supported learning pathways, rotational experiences, and mobility opportunities to accelerate the development of high-performing associates.
  • Own and manage all Learning & Development vendor relationships, ensuring alignment to enterprise strategy, quality standards, and return on investment, while staying current on emerging learning technologies and AI applications.
  • Establish and monitor learning effectiveness metrics, leveraging data, analytics, and AI-enabled insights to assess impact and continuously improve learning programs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, business leaders, and subject matter experts to identify performance improvement opportunities and develop integrated learning solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to deliver data- and AI-informed performance and development solutions that improve retention, engagement, and enterprise capability.
  • Provide strategic direction for enterprise curriculum strategy, learning roadmaps, and content acquisition or creation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and responsible use of AI.
  • Partner with other learning and readiness leaders to coordinate enterprise service delivery, standards, and execution across the organization.
  • Partner closely with Lowe's leaders to ensure leadership and field learning programs support associate performance and future capability needs across all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree Organization Development, Instructional Design, Learning, Leadership, Psychology, or other related fields preferred or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 12 Years of Experience in training delivery and/or instructional design experience required; preferably for a large multi-state and/or global company as a COE manager.
  • 12 Years of Progressive experience one or more specialty functions of Human Resources, with a significant portion focused on talent management (e.g., employee and/or leadership development, instructional design, training, performance management) and a mix of operational (stores, supply chain and contact center), strategic, and systems thinking experience
  • 7 Years of Experience leading and mentoring a team and helping to foster/create a "great place to work.
  • 7 Years of Experience successfully managing multiple priorities & projects through successful delivery & implementation under time, budget, and political pressure

Preferred Skills/Education
  • Master's degree Organization Development, Instructional Design, Learning, Leadership, Psychology, or other related fields preferred
  • Experience in training delivery and/or instructional design experience required; preferably for a large multi-state and/or global company as a COE manager.
