Job Summary

The Spare Parts – Sourcing Intelligence Manager is a critical role within the Global Logistics & Spares Supply Chain Sourcing (GLSS) organization, responsible for owning spare parts sourcing and supply assurance intelligence for HPE’s enterprise hardware portfolio, including servers, storage, and networking products.

This role enables fact-based sourcing, supply assurance, and shortage mitigation decisions by delivering deep intelligence across spare parts commodities, supplier performance, kitting & repair operations, and end-to-end supply chain drivers. The role plays a key part in protecting revenue, improving service levels, and driving structural improvements by proactively identifying and resolving shortage and backorder risks.

The position also builds future-ready intelligence capabilities, integrating analytics, digital tools, and AI-enabled insights to strengthen sourcing strategies, supply assurance, and operational resilience.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities

Spare Parts Sourcing Intelligence

  • Own sourcing intelligence for critical spare parts commodities and their Kitting / repair services for HDD, SSD, memory, CPU, GPU, and other server, storage, and networking components.
  • Develop commodity-level benchmarks and intelligence on cost drivers, technology transitions, lifecycle risks, and market pricing trends.
  • Support sourcing strategies, negotiations, and business planning with data-backed insights and scenarios.

Supply Assurance & Shortage Intelligence

  • Provide analytical support to predict, assess, and mitigate shortages and backorders across the spare parts supply chain.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of supply issues across forecast accuracy, supplier performance, capacity constraints, lead times, and quality or logistics disruptions.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations to support shortage recovery and prevention plans.

Commercial & Supplier Performance Analytics

  • Support sourcing initiatives with cost analysis, should-cost models, and scenario evaluations for multiple commodities and suppliers.
  • Track supplier performance metrics such as on-time delivery, fill rates, commitments vs. actuals, and recovery effectiveness.
  • Enable fact-based discussions with suppliers through structured analytics and intelligence.

Kitting & Network Intelligence

  • Develop intelligence on spare parts kitting service providers, processes, and cost structures.
  • Analyze kitting capacity, constraints, and operational risks to support sourcing and network optimization decisions.

Digital Enablement & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement in sourcing and supply assurance analytics using advanced Excel, BI tools, and AI-enabled techniques.
  • Define analytics and data requirements to support digital tools, dashboards, and future-state planning systems.
  • Identify opportunities for structural improvements, resilience, and long-term cost optimization in the spare parts ecosystem.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sourcing, Supply Assurance, Operations, Finance, and Digital teams to align intelligence with business priorities and execution needs.

What You Need to Bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8-12 years of experience in spare parts sourcing, supply assurance, supply chain analytics, or commodity intelligence, preferably in high-tech or manufacturing environments.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end spare parts supply chains, including procurement, suppliers, kitting, logistics, and aftermarket support.
  • Experience supporting shortage management, recovery initiatives, and supply risk mitigation through analytics and insights.
  • Ability to convert complex supply chain data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Analytical & Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for modeling, analysis, and executive communication.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and data querying tools (e.g., SQL) preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics concepts and digital transformation initiatives is a plus.
