The Role

Join our Data Platform team as a Software Development Engineer II and play a key role in building the core services that power our entire technology stack. You'll work closely with senior engineers, taking ownership of features from design to deployment. This role is for a self-motivated engineer eager to drive key initiatives and deepen their expertise in building high-performance, scalable systems.

What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain foundational backend services using Java or Golang, with a focus on API design and business logic.
- Take ownership of data modeling and optimization for our central data stores, working with both SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Drive the implementation of comprehensive unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure the reliability and stability of our platform.
- Contribute to the full service lifecycle, including deploying and monitoring services in a cloud-native environment using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with other teams to define and implement platform-wide best practices.
What You’ll Bring
- 2-4 years of professional back-end engineering experience.
- Solid proficiency in Java / GoLang and experience building APIs.
- Demonstrated experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred), including data modeling and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker).
- A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently on complex back-end features.
