We are looking for a Senior Manager, Accounting

Target total compensation ranges from $214,000 - $228,000, including a fixed annual salary of $174,000 - $188,000, an employee equity plan grant, and world-class benefits. 

Equity grants are issued in good faith, subject to company policies, board approval, and individual eligibility.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Manager, Accounting to join our team to support Rokt’s rapid global growth in an AI-first environment.  We require a leader who excels in operational excellence and is AI savvy to utilize the most advanced tools to move beyond a traditional, heavily manual accounting function to an efficient & scalable engine to drive speed of financial information and business insights.  

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in a rapidly growing and evolving environment with the ability to lean deep into processes and  communicate clearly and effectively with executive leadership.  System knowledge and AI and Automation skills are a must as we transform how we serve our customers and develop our employees. 

Responsibilities:

  • GL Accounting Leadership: Direct the global General Ledger function. Provide strategic oversight to a high-potential team, ensuring professional development and operational continuity.
  • AI & Automation Strategy: Act as the primary champion for an AI-First mindset, infusing AI throughout day-to-day accounting activities. Identify and implement AI-driven solutions for anomaly detection, automated reconciliations, and predictive "close" processes to significantly increase efficiency and accuracy to provide the capacity for high-value work.
  • Process Excellence & Controls: Define and execute a best-in-class monthly, quarterly and year-end close process. Implement rigorous internal controls and AI-enhanced audit trails to ensure financial reporting is both timely and precise.
  • Systems & Scalability: Lead the evolution of general ledger data structures to enable an insights driven month-end close. Seamlessly integrate with modern AI agents and LLM-based data analysis tools.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Provide clear information to business owners regarding financial transactions, including Marketing, Legal, and Engineering and other departments. 

Ideally, you are:

  • An Operational Architect: You possess a deep understanding of the foundational processes of an accounting  team and are energized by building AI-First repeatable, automated, and scalable processes.
  • An AI-Forward Thinker: You stay ahead of the curve on how Generative AI and Machine Learning can eliminate manual work, allowing your team to focus on high-value strategic analysis and insights.
  • A Proven Scaler: You have successfully navigated the transition from manual to automated work, with a deep understanding of the foundational elements of data flows and organization to achieve frictionless processes and insightful information.   You understand and have implemented internal controls for financial reporting which meet public company standards.
  • A Leader & Mentor: You are a proven developer of talent, capable of elevating mid-level managers into senior leaders through structured guidance and a forward-thinking culture.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership and team management roles; 2-4 years of public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience managing the accounting month-end close with extensive use of automation.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing AI tools or advanced automation within an accounting function.
  • Curious live-long learner ready to look around the corners and own outcomes with a desire to harness the power of AI.
  • Experience in a global enterprise and experience in International Accounting is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent professional designation.
