We are looking for a Senior Engineering/ Group Manager, based in Barcelona, Spain (hybrid mode of working).
Role Summary:
As a Senior Engineering/ Group Manager, you are overall responsible for the outcomes delivered by the Runtime Platform domain—the technical foundation of our future Linux-based platform, covering infrastructure, platform services, and application platform services.
You will lead high-performing teams, ensuring both the quality and speed of delivery by driving effective prioritization, refinement, and execution. As a people leader, you will develop, motivate, and empower individuals and teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strong performance.
In this role, you will oversee engineering operations end-to-end, remove blockers to enable team success, and ensure transparency across stakeholders through clear communication and collaboration.

Provide Engineering Process Oversight:

- Manage Risk within engineering operations
- Support strategic Budgeting decisions and contribute to annual budget planning discussions, highlighting anticipated headcount, tooling and infrastructure needs
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for innovation and driving the adoption of new tools and practices
Resource Management:
- Strategic Workforce Planning

- Lead Engineering Team Scaling initiatives
- Manage Capacity Planning
- Ensure End-to-end accountability for team output
Stakeholder Engagement:

What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering or an equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Engineering background – e.g. Software Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer.
- Technical understanding of building distributed architecture (Linux) infrastructure on hardware.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and modern software development frameworks and tools.
- Proven track record of successfully leading the development of software products from conception to delivery.
- Experience in leadership or management roles.
- Experience with the Agile software development frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and application lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, focusing on delivering results in a fast-paced environment

About the Team
This role sits within the Application Enablement area. Our mission is to empower engineering teams by providing the tools, platforms, and infrastructure they need to build, deploy, and operate high-quality products efficiently and at scale.
You will be part of the Runtime Platform domain, which brings together three closely collaborating teams: Infrastructure; Platform Services and Deployment and Configuration.
Together, these teams play a critical role in improving developer experience, accelerating delivery, and ensuring operational excellence across the organization.
